Meet Chris Henderson Sr.
Nearly a decade in recovery housing.
Addiction invaded Chris's life at the early age of 11 — through an immediate family member — and it's been prevalent ever since. Things got out of control for a minute.
But through the grace of God, he was hired at Mariners Inn in Detroit, Michigan. That's where he learned that addiction is a disease.
He started as a temporary service worker — the lowest rung, the fill-in guy. But Mariners Inn believed in him, and he rose to the Director position. That's where he honed his skills — learning every job in the house: the overnight shifts, the intake calls, the incident reports at 2 a.m., the month-end money chase, the certification binder panic — and where he learned about COMPASSION.
And somewhere along the way, he started sketching the tool he wished someone would build: one calm board that holds the whole house, so nothing lives in somebody's head or dies in a group chat.
PointePilot was his idea. We built it.
